About Affordable Local Experts

State Street runs straight through the middle of downtown Salt Lake City, laid out on the old pioneer grid, and on a snow morning it's one of the first stretches the salt trucks reach. This crew works the blocks around it — the loading docks, the mid-rise lots, the sidewalks in front of shops that open at eight. They've learned which corners drift first when the wind comes down off the bench and which gutters need a second pass before the meltwater refreezes. There's a plain satisfaction in a clear street grid on a white morning, commuters moving again, salt crunching underfoot instead of ice. It's steady, local work, done block by block until the whole route is clean.
