Rush Valley is open sagebrush country in Tooele County, a wide basin with the Oquirrh Mountains rising along its eastern edge and the wind loose to roam across all of it. When a winter storm passes through, that wind gathers the snow and sculpts it into long drifts over driveways and yards, so the morning looks like a white sea frozen mid-swell. OSTARR takes on those drifts with snow removal, cutting through them and opening drives and walks so errands and commutes can get moving. A drive opened all the way to the road brings its own hard-won satisfaction, the banks squared off and gray-green sage poking through the snow on either side. Out where the sky is huge and the houses sit far apart, that opened drive is what keeps a winter morning on track.
