Under most Provo lawns is heavy bench soil that packs down tight by the end of a hot summer, and no amount of water gets past it. Turf Plus works below the green: core aeration in the cool of fall, fertilization to feed roots instead of just tips, weed control, and overseeding into the holes so the thin spots close over. A lawn treated at the soil line comes back thicker the next spring, and thick turf crowds out most of what would otherwise move in. Mowing and trimming keep the surface honest while the ground does the slow part. It is a patient way to work, and the payoff arrives about the time the canyon maples start to color.
