About Broates Landscaping

West of town the valley flattens out and lets the sun down slowly over Utah Lake, and for twenty minutes on a summer evening the whole west side of Provo turns the color of a peach. Broates Landscaping is often still working then — the last trim line, the walk cleared, the gate latched on the way out. Mowing and edging carry the week; fertilization and weed control carry the season. Aeration and overseeding go down once the nights cool and the grass is willing again. Leaving a yard finished at that hour, with the light going gold across it, is its own kind of payment.
