About BOLD Landscaping

Pleasant Grove earned its old nickname of hanging gardens from the terraced yards that climb the bench toward Mount Timpanogos, and BOLD Landscaping spends its summers keeping those slopes green before winter turns the whole hillside white. When a storm drops down Grove Creek Canyon, the same terraces that hold flower beds in July hold snowdrifts in January, and the crew works them the same way — methodically, bed by bed, drive by drive. A driveway carved into a hillside needs a different touch than a flat one, plowed at an angle so the melt runs off instead of refreezing across the whole slope overnight. Walks get shoveled down to the paving stone, salt scattered at every step where the bench's north-facing shade keeps the ice stubborn longest. By the time the canyon wind dies down, the terraced yards along the bench sit open and clear, waiting on spring the way they always have.
