About Empire Tree Service of Park City

Up Thaynes Canyon, the pines carry more snow than seems possible, boughs bent low over driveways until a good storm turns every yard into a tunnel of white. Empire Tree Service of Park City reads the weight in those branches the way other people read a thermometer, clearing snow before a limb gives and takes a fence or a windshield with it. The same crew that shapes the aspens each fall works through winter with shovels and plows, keeping the paths under the canopy passable long after Main Street has been cleared twice over. There's a rhythm to it — knock the load off the low limbs, plow the drive, shovel the walk to the door — repeated up one canyon road and down the next. When a chinook finally breaks the cold, the trees stand a little lighter, and the driveways underneath them are already bare.
