Above Kimball Junction, the plow lights come on before the sky does, cutting long white arcs down driveways that will be full of cars by the time the sun clears Iron Mountain. Cutting Edge works the benches along Highway 224 while Park City still sleeps under a foot of new snow, the kind that squeaks underfoot at ten below and softens the whole valley into one pale shape. There is satisfaction in a clean edge — a driveway plowed square to the garage door, a walkway scraped to bare concrete, salt scattered even along the shaded north side where the ice likes to hide. The work runs from the Basin down toward Old Town, one property after another, until the last truck heads home with its blade still dripping. By midmorning the resort traffic rolls through streets that look like the storm never happened.
