About PyneCo Services

October turns the maples up Provo Canyon well before it touches the valley floor, and then one cold night the color arrives in Orem all at once, ankle-deep by morning. PyneCo Services spends those weeks with the leaves — pulled off lawns, cleared out of beds and the gutter line, so the grass gets its light back before the ground goes hard. The rest of the year is the ordinary weekly rhythm: mowing, trimming, edging, keeping a yard from ever getting away from anyone. There is a particular pleasure in the last cleanup of fall — a brushed lawn, a swept walk, the whole place squared away. It is unshowy work done all the way through, on Orem streets where the canyon wind makes a habit of undoing it.
