About The Groundsman LLC
The mountains east of Ogden swallow the afternoon sun early in winter, and on a clear evening the shadow line slides down their slopes like a slow tide, house by house going dark before actual sunset. The Groundsman LLC works ahead of that shadow, clearing driveways and walkways through the afternoon so a street isn't left icing over once the light goes. It's a grounds and property company, and the block-by-block habit doesn't change with the season — only the tools do, plows and shovels standing in for what the summer crew usually carries. Crews clear residential and small commercial properties across Ogden and into South Ogden and Washington Terrace, pushing snow back from walkways before the evening refreeze sets in. A driveway cleared in the last of the daylight, dry and dark against the white yard around it, is a fine way to end a short winter day.
