The road out of North Ogden climbs the Divide and drops into Ogden Valley, and by late August the light up there turns the whole basin the color of dry hay. OverLand Lawn and Landscape works both sides of that hill, mowing and trimming, aerating tired turf, seeding the thin spots where summer burned through. Yards on the bench catch canyon wind and canyon shade, which can change how grass grows within a single block. Reading that, and cutting accordingly, is the craft. The result is plain enough to see from the mailbox: a lawn that runs even, edge to edge, all the way to the back fence.
