About Wardell Brothers Construction

The old transcontinental rail grade still traces its way through Morgan County, a reminder that this quiet valley once had the nation's attention for a few loud years, and plenty of the county's oldest foundations and outbuildings date from around that same era. A construction crew working here spends a good part of its time on additions and repairs to buildings that old, matching new framing to a barn or homestead that's stood for a century. Winter in the valley shuts down most new-build work but not the need to get to a job site, so the same crew keeps plowing driveways and access roads through the season, construction gear swapped for a blade. There's a real pride in tying new work cleanly into something built generations ago, and in a farm road opened early enough for the day's deliveries to get through. Morgan holds onto its history close enough that building here always means building around it.
