Willow Lane Services

About Willow Lane Services

Down by the willow stands along the river, where the lanes run quiet enough that a plow truck's engine carries a long way in the cold morning air, Willow Lane Services works some of Logan's slower residential streets — the ones without much traffic to pack the snow down before the crew ever arrives. That quiet is an advantage: driveways along the willows tend to hold clean, undisturbed snow that clears in a single smooth pass rather than the packed, icy ruts of a busier road. The crew works these lane-and-loop neighborhoods and the streets bordering the park, clearing driveways and walks while the willows overhead hold their own thin coating of frost. It's a smaller, quieter corner of Logan's snow-removal work, done at an unhurried pace that matches the streets themselves. By mid-morning, the lanes are bare and the willows are dripping in the first sun.
