Hydro Valley, LLC takes its name from the water that has always defined this end of the valley — the Jordan River sliding out of Utah Lake just south of Lehi and beginning its run north toward the Salt Lake Valley. Winter turns that same water hard: the river ices at its edges, irrigation ditches freeze solid, and snow gathers into drifts along every fence line the old farms left behind. The company's winter crews plow driveways and clear walkways across Lehi's mix of old farmhouses and new subdivisions, working these flat streets where drifts tend to gather against anything standing upright. A storm here often carries real moisture, heavier and wetter than the powder that falls up in the canyons. Getting a driveway clear down to pavement, with the river running dark and open just beyond the yard, is a good measure of a morning's work.
