Ice Busters

About Ice Busters

Layton's winters run through a stubborn freeze-thaw cycle — snow melts a little under a midday sun, then locks back into ice once the valley's cold air pools in for the night. Ice Busters works that cycle directly, breaking up the glaze that forms on driveways, front walks, and porch steps across town before it turns a routine morning into a hazard. The company's whole approach is built around that refreeze: get out early, clear what fell, treat what's likely to ice over again by dark. Some Layton streets sit low enough in the bench that cold air lingers there overnight, holding onto ice long after the sun has cleared the higher ground. A walkway that's actually safe to cross, not just shoveled, is the real measure of the work.
