Andy's Stump And Tree Service

About Andy's Stump And Tree Service

Along Layton's older blocks near historic Main Street, the shade trees planted two and three generations back stand bare and heavy-limbed through the winter months, holding a hush over the neighborhood that the newer subdivisions haven't grown into yet. Andy's Stump And Tree Service works this end of town, clearing snow from the driveways and front walks tucked under those old canopies. A storm here can pile up fast between the tree lines, shading the pavement so it holds ice longer than the open lots across town. The work is straightforward — plow, shovel, salt where the ice sets in — but doing it well on a street this old, with sidewalks this uneven, takes some care. There's something grounding about keeping a street like this passable, one uneven stretch of sidewalk at a time.
