About PlusOne Company (Hildale)

Short Creek still runs behind a lot of Hildale's older lots, lined with the ditch banks and fruit trees planted when the town's first orchards went in, and a hard freeze turns the ditch water to a ribbon of ice by midmorning. PlusOne Company works the driveways and walks that back up to that water — a different kind of clearing than an open flat, since a plow needs to leave room for the ditch bank without pushing snow back into running water. Orchard branches bare for winter give the whole street a clean, open look once the snow's off the ground beneath them, walks cut back to clear pavement and salted before school lets out. It's a short season of real cold here between the cliffs, and the work fits neatly into it — clear, salt, and let the ditch keep running underneath.
