Cottonwood Heights grew in tiers up the bench, and nowhere is that clearer than around the Old Mill business park, where older, lower parking lots sit well below the newer streets climbing toward the canyon. Salt City Landscape & Excavation grades and pushes snow with an eye for those tiers, clearing the flatter commercial lots first before working up toward the steeper residential grades above. Retaining walls and drainage cuts along the older lots mean snow has to be pushed toward drains that still need to run once the melt starts. Walkways get cleared and salted at both levels so the ice doesn't have a chance to set on either the flat ground or the pitch.
