The old Denver & Rio Grande grade still runs through Clearfield as a rail trail, and in October it becomes a corridor of yellow headed straight for somebody's lawn. MM LandScaping meets that season head-on: leaf removal, fall cleanups, the last mows of the year cut a little shorter, edges tightened back up after a summer of growth. Earlier in the year it is the steady stuff — weekly cutting, trimming around trees and posts, walks blown clear. Davis County weather does not ask permission; it turns hot and then it turns cold, and the yards that come through looking well are the ones somebody stayed on top of. Raking off the last of it and seeing the grass again is its own reward.
