About Fonz Lawns LLC

The long brick rows of the Freeport Center throw their shadows east in the late afternoon, and that is when a Clearfield summer finally loosens its grip. Fonz Lawns LLC likes that hour for finishing work — the mowing done in cooler air, the edge cut straight along the walk, the clippings blown off the concrete so a driveway reads clean from the street. Set between the mountains and the flats, yards here take the full brunt of a dry July, so steady cutting and regular trimming matter more than any one big day of effort. Come autumn there are cleanups to do and leaves to move, and the grass gets put away tidy. A block where every lawn is kept is a small, ordinary kind of beautiful, and it is worth the hours.
