About Rainmaker Snow Removal

Every storm that reaches Cedar City comes down the same way, funneled through Coal Creek Canyon off the top of the Markagunt Plateau, where Cedar Breaks sits buried in snow long before a flake reaches Main Street. Rainmaker Snow Removal watches that canyon mouth the way a farmer watches a gauge, because a system that's dumping on the plateau is usually an hour or two from dumping on this end of town too. The crew runs driveways and lots through the old iron-mining blocks first, then works out toward the newer subdivisions on the valley's east side, where the ground stays colder in the shadow of the plateau. Cedar City empties out some in winter, with the summer theater crowds gone and Coal Creek running low and clear through downtown, but the streets still need clearing whether or not anyone's watching a play. A finished route here means Main Street bare from the old iron district clear out toward the mountain road.
