Alpine Lawns

About Alpine Lawns

Cold air slides down off the Markagunt Plateau at night, so even in August a Cedar City morning can open at fifty degrees with dew silvering every blade. Alpine Lawns likes that hour — the grass stands up, the cut comes off clean, and the lines hold. The week is mowing, close trimming and edge work, run on a schedule that keeps a yard from ever getting away from anyone. The high country above town is all pine and aspen; down here the lawns are small green rooms, and they deserve the same tending. When the light finally drops behind the western hills, a freshly cut yard is about the best thing on the street.
