Mountain Land and Home

About Mountain Land and Home

Up where Skyline Drive rides the top of the bench, the lots get larger, the wind gets louder, and a yard turns into something closer to a small piece of country. Mountain Land and Home works those properties on their own terms — long mowing passes across open turf, brush and weed growth kept back from the dry margins, cleanup runs after the canyon wind has redistributed everything downhill. From up there the whole valley lies open, the Great Salt Lake glinting far off to the west and the roofs of Bountiful stacked in rows below. The mower runs early, before the afternoon sun turns the hillside into a reflector. Bringing a big, wind-worked property back into order in a single day is its own kind of quiet accomplishment.
