Allred's Yard & Garden

About Allred's Yard & Garden

Ballard sits out on the open floor of the Uinta Basin, where morning light crosses sagebrush and hayfield long before it finds the snowline on the Uintas to the north. Allred's Yard & Garden keeps lawns on that ground — mowing, edging, feeding and cleanup on soil that has to be coaxed green between irrigation turns and a wide, drying sky. A yard out here is a deliberate thing, a square of soft color held against miles of gray-green rabbitbrush, and it gets treated that way. There is a plain satisfaction in the last pass of the mower, the stripe laid straight to the fence line, the walk edged sharp enough to read from the road. The work runs through Ballard and out toward Roosevelt, Fort Duchesne, Neola and Myton, wherever a ditch runs and the grass follows it.
