About Yard & Scooping Services

Timpanogos throws its long shadow over American Fork before the sun clears the ridge, and that is the hour the mower starts — grass still cool, canyon air still sliding down from the mouth of American Fork Canyon toward Utah Lake. Yard & Scooping Services works the grid of old orchard streets and the newer benchside cul-de-sacs above them, cutting lawns even, edging walks to a line you could follow with a fingertip, trimming the corners no wide deck will ever reach. Summers on this side of the valley run dry and bright, and a lawn that holds its green under that light is a lawn somebody tended on purpose. Come October the cottonwoods let go all at once, and the leaves get cleared off before they mat down, so the turf goes into the cold breathing instead of smothered. What's left at the end of a visit is plain and worth standing back for: a crisp edge, a swept walk, a yard that looks glad to be looked at.
