About Alpine Sales & Services L.L.C

First light comes late to Alpine — the sun has to climb the ridge before it reaches the lawns on the east bench, and by then the dew is already heavy. That is the hour Alpine Sales & Services likes best for mowing, when the grass stands up straight and the stripes hold their shape. Yards here sit on old glacial ground, stony and tilted in places, so the work is mowing, trimming and edging done with attention to where the blade meets the curb. The reward is a clean line along the driveway and a lawn that looks settled into the hillside it grew on. Alpine is a small town under a big mountain, and its lawns look right when they are kept simple and kept sharp.
