The Planted Stone Landscape and Hardscape

About The Planted Stone Landscape and Hardscape

On the older streets north of the tracks in Wylie, the yards were laid out around stone and shade long before the newer subdivisions came, and they still carry that shape. The Planted Stone Landscape and Hardscape tends ground of that kind — mowing, edging, trimming close along walls and bed lines, and clearing away the debris a mature yard sheds through the year. Where grass runs up against stone, the meeting has to be cut clean or the whole composition goes soft. Under an old shade tree the turf is patient and slow; twenty feet out in the sun it is anything but, and the same yard needs two kinds of attention in one afternoon. Getting both right in the same visit is the quiet pride of the work.
