The All Blue

About The All Blue

Late October in Winfield brings the kind of clear blue sky this corner of Texas waits all summer for, and the sweetgums and oaks around town start turning red and amber beneath it. The All Blue keeps lawns in shape through that change of season, mowing, trimming and clearing away the first drifts of fallen leaves so the grass goes into winter clean. Beyond the trees, the hum of Interstate 30 fades into a hush, and yards back right up against stands of hardwood that would happily reclaim them. A lawn held neat against that pressure has a calm, deliberate look, like a clearing someone means to keep. On an autumn afternoon, with the light slanting low through the leaves, it is a fine thing to come home to.
