About Berend Bros. Windthorst

On a Sunday morning in April, the bells of St. Mary's carry down from the hilltop over Windthorst, across green pastures, dairy barns and the neat rooftops of a German Catholic farming town. Berend Bros. Windthorst brings lawn care to that orderly landscape, mowing, trimming and keeping yards as tidy as the fields around them. Spring here rides in on the north Texas wind, greening the grass fast after the first warm rains, and the mowing keeps pace with it. There is something fitting about a neat lawn in a town built on tending the land. From the church steps, the streets below look orderly and at peace, and that is exactly the idea.
