Beautifully Made Inside & Out

About Beautifully Made Inside & Out

West of Sherman, where US-82 runs on toward Gainesville, Whitesboro keeps its post oaks, its red dirt and a long gold light that comes across the pasture fences early. Beautifully Made Inside & Out takes those first cool hours, while the dew still lies heavy enough to show a mower's line. The work is plain and it shows itself: grass brought to one even height, edges opened along walks and drives, clippings blown off the concrete before the truck rolls out. Grayson County summers can turn a yard stubborn, so the cutting bends to the heat instead of fighting it. By October, when the Peanut Festival fills Main Street, the lawns on this end of town are still holding a straight line.
