About C&C Earthworks and Fencing

The soil around Wharton is heavy black gumbo — it holds water like a bowl and holds a straight line even better. C&C Earthworks and Fencing works the edges of things: grass cut low, fence lines trimmed out, corners cleared back to where they belong. October is generous in this county, the humidity finally lifting and the light going long and gold across the pastures, and a mown property out in that light looks like it has been pressed flat with an iron. Nothing showy in it — just short grass, clean corners, the shape of a place made plain again. Wharton and the open country around it are where the work happens.
