About Alexi's Landscaping Service

Wharton's red-brick courthouse sits in the middle of town like a stone set in a ring, and everything spoked out from it — the square, the side streets, the yards a few blocks farther on — keeps its own quiet order. Alexi's Landscaping Service works that order down into the grass: mowing, trimming, bed edges pulled true, ragged corners squared away. Saturdays here smell like cut grass and warm asphalt, and a mower running two houses down is as much a part of the block as the bells. The good part is the after — standing at the curb with the trailer loaded, looking back at a lawn that finally looks tended. Wharton and the small towns spoked out from it get the same hand, yard by yard.
