S & L Lawn Service

About S & L Lawn Service

Evening in Waxahachie belongs to the creek bottoms, the light going gold over Waxahachie Creek and the cicadas winding up in the elms as the heat finally lets go. S & L Lawn Service is often still out at that hour finishing a last property, mowing, string trimming along fences and mailbox posts, then blowing the drive clean so nothing tracks indoors. Blackland soil grows grass fast and thick once the spring rains come, and staying ahead of it is steady, repeating work. A lawn cut on a rhythm looks different from one that had to be rescued: the color evens out, the lines lie down straight. That is the aim on every street from town out toward Garrett and Palmer.
