About JM Lawn Services

East of Victoria the land flattens out toward the barge canal, and the morning comes up humid and still with the whole day's heat already promised. JM Lawn Services is out in it early — mowing before the sun turns mean, edging drives and sidewalks, string trimming around posts, trunks and beds, then clearing the concrete behind the crew. Shrubs get trimmed back, and cleanups pull leaves, clippings and storm litter out of the yard. Weekly service is the backbone of it, because this ground grows grass from the first warm week of spring to the last of fall. Fresh-cut grass on a wet Gulf morning is a smell worth getting up for.
