About C Drake Services LLC.

Van Alstyne sits high enough on the prairie that a rain falling on one side of town heads toward the Red River and on the other side goes looking for the Trinity. C Drake Services LLC. works that breezy ridge, where the south wind runs all afternoon and a mower's dust never quite settles behind you. The job is mowing, edging, trimming and hauling off what the cutting leaves behind — steady work on lawns that grow hard from April through September. There is pride in the straight pass, the corner turned cleanly, the walk blown off so the concrete looks washed. On the drive home down the highway the finished yards line up in a row, and that is the whole reward.
