About Ambition Landscaping and Outdoor Design

North of McKinney the prairie still shows through between the new streets, and a fresh Van Alstyne lot arrives as bare graded clay with a mailbox in it. Ambition Landscaping and Outdoor Design starts there, early, while the ground is still cool enough to dig — laying out beds, setting plantings, giving a blank front yard a shape it can grow into. Then comes the keeping of it: mowing, edging, trimming the borders so the design reads clearly from the road. There is a real satisfaction in coming back the following spring and finding the lines still true, the beds filled in, the grass knitting to the walk. Grayson County gives you sun and wind and heavy soil to work with; the pleasure is in making something that holds up under all three.
