Velazquez Lawn Service

About Velazquez Lawn Service

Northeast of town the ground tips down toward Cibolo Creek, and mornings that way come with mist in the low spots and mourning doves calling from the wires. Velazquez Lawn Service is out in that first cool hour around Universal City — mowing, edging, trimming, blowing the walks down before the day turns heavy. The routes go house to house and street to street, the same addresses on the same days, and the trailer ramp drops and lifts a hundred times a summer. What lasts is the look of a block where every yard has had its turn and the whole street finally reads together.
