About Affordable Cutts

Out here the day starts with light before it starts with sound. The sun comes up flat and gold across the Llano Estacado and lays itself over Tulia's yards while the wind is still deciding what to do, and that is the hour Affordable Cutts likes best — grass cool, blades sharp, every pass leaving an honest line. The work is mowing, edging, string trimming and a good blow-down of the walks and the drive, done until a yard looks like somebody cared about it. South of town the ground opens into Tule Canyon, and there is a particular satisfaction in a Swisher County lawn held neat and green against all that open country. By the time the afternoon wind comes up off the plains, the clippings are gone and the edges are cut clean.
