Top Notch Turf and Pest

About Top Notch Turf and Pest

Late February in Tomball is straw-gold and impatient — Bermuda still dormant, crape myrtles bare, one warm week already pushing green up through the thatch. Top Notch Turf and Pest meets that turn with the first mow of the year, cutting the dead top growth low and recovering the edges winter blurred. Out along Hufsmith-Kohrville, where the pines around Burroughs Park throw long afternoon shadows, one yard after another comes back from brown to something worth walking barefoot across. String trimming around posts and mailboxes, drives blown clear, clippings carried off instead of left to mat down in the damp. Spring arrives fast in this corner of Harris County, and it pays to be standing there when it does.
