Sharkies Lawn and Garden

About Sharkies Lawn and Garden

September in Tom Bean brings the first relief from summer — a north wind that smells of cut hay, evenings mild enough for the porch again, and lawns that perk up after the long August stall. It is the season for putting a yard and garden back in order, and Sharkies Lawn and Garden does just that across Tom Bean. A fresh cut and a trim bring the grass back to a clean, even height, while garden beds get weeded, tidied and readied for whatever the owner wants growing next. The prairie sky turns enormous at sunset out here, and there is a fine contentment in seeing a trim lawn and orderly garden beneath it. In a town this size, neighbors notice a yard that has been looked after, and this is the work that earns the noticing.
