The Lawn Guys

About The Lawn Guys

Texas Boulevard runs wide and shaded through town, and in late October its oaks let go nearly all at once. That is the stretch where The Lawn Guys earn the day — leaf cleanup and yard cleanups, beds cleared out, lawns raked open again so the Bermuda underneath can breathe. The rest of the year it is the steady circuit: mowing, edging, trimming, hedges kept in line, hard surfaces blown clean before the truck pulls away from the curb. A lawn finished right has a certain sound to it — the mower, then quiet, then nothing left to sweep. They work Texarkana and the towns close by, out through Nash, Wake Village, New Boston, and DeKalb.
