Out at Lake Trammell in early March the water is still cold, the mesquite hasn't leafed out, and the first green is only just showing at the root of last year's grass. That is the signal around Sweetwater: time to start the season. Fix it on a dime opens yards back up after the cold months — the first cuts of the year, walks and drives edged in again, fence lines trimmed, everything the winter wind piled up carried away.
