Crud Getters

About Crud Getters

Spring on the Rolling Plains means wind, and wind in Nolan County means everything loose ends up in somebody's yard — tumbleweed pinned to the fence, caliche dust on the porch, mesquite twigs scattered across the whole front. Crud Getters is named for exactly that. Mowing, edging, trimming and above all clearing out what has collected: blown down, gathered up, gone. The satisfaction lives in the emptiness afterward — bare swept concrete, a fence line you can see under, a lawn cut even with nothing hiding in the corners. West Texas will send more along shortly; that's fine, that's the arrangement.
