About The Ville Lawn Co. LLC

September in Stephenville arrives with the students: traffic backed up on Washington Street, stadium lights burning on a Thursday, and a whole town's worth of yards that grew all August while nobody was looking. The Ville Lawn Co. LLC works lawn care through that turning stretch of the year, mowing, edging and trimming rent houses, family homes and the long grassy strips out along the county roads. There is a particular pleasure in the first cut after a rain, when a corner kept soft under mesquite shade finally squares up with the rest of the yard. Leaves follow soon enough, and with them the raking and hauling that takes a lawn down to its bones before the first norther comes through. Stephenville, Dublin, Hico and the places in between, the same rounds run week after week.
