The Honey Dew Crew

About The Honey Dew Crew

Dawn comes to Erath County the color of weak honey, and the Bermuda grass along the side streets holds its dew until the sun clears the cross timbers east of town. The Honey Dew Crew works lawn care in that first cool hour, mowing and edging while the pavement is still soft enough to walk barefoot. There is real satisfaction in a yard finished before the day turns hot: the passes laid straight, the trimmer line run neat around the mailbox post, the walk blown clear to the curb. They keep to Stephenville and the small places gathered around it, Morgan Mill and Huckabay and Lingleville, where a mown yard is how a house says good morning to the road. By the time the heat settles over the county, the work is behind them and the grass is already standing back up.
