About Southwest Lawn & Garden

Late-summer light in this part of Texas arrives low and copper, and it flatters any yard that has come through the dry stretch with its beds intact. Southwest Lawn & Garden works with what actually thrives east of San Antonio — turf cut high enough to shade its own roots, beds weeded and mulched, plantings tended while the rain stays away. Mowing, edging, trimming and cleanup make up the weekly round; the garden side is slower and more particular. Huisache and prickly pear manage out here without any help, and a yard can too, once it has been set up right and kept up. St. Hedwig has the sky for it — long evenings, and room to sit and look at what you have grown.
