Spring Green

About Spring Green

There is a week each February when Spring earns its name twice over: the creek runs cold and clear, the grass turns from straw to something alive, and every lawn in town suddenly needs a person. Spring Green is built for that turn — first cuts of the year, edges reopened, winter debris pulled out of the beds, weeds handled before they set in. From there it becomes the long haul, mowing and trimming and clearing week after week until the light goes short again in November. Nine months of growing is a great deal to keep in line. Keeping it in line is the whole job, and they like the job.
