Alpha Turf Management

About Alpha Turf Management

St. Augustine is a particular animal: it runs along the surface, it loves the Gulf damp, and within a week it will tell you whether anyone has been paying attention. Alpha Turf Management works the lawns off Cypresswood Drive and through the Klein side of Spring with exactly that in mind — mowing at a height that lets the grass shade its own roots, feeding it while it is growing, watching the thin patches where chinch bugs favor the hot southern exposure. Weeds get treated before they set seed, and the edge is cut so the turf stops precisely where it should. Through the mild winter the color drains to straw, and then some warm week in February it all comes back at once. Turf is a slow argument, and it feels good to be winning it.
