Hill Country Tree Co.

About Hill Country Tree Co.

Cold mornings in Spring Branch arrive with woodsmoke and cedar in the air, and the live oaks hold their leaves while everything around them goes gray. Hill Country Tree Co. does its shaping in those cool months — pruning, deadwood and limb removal, canopy work, takedowns and cleanup — then keeps lawns mowed and edged once the growing season swings back around. Trees on this limestone grow slow and stubborn, rooted straight into rock, and they reward being read carefully before a single cut is made. Standing back afterward at an oak with its structure opened and its shape still entirely its own is the point of the whole trade. Good tree work should never announce itself.
