Oviedo Land and Garden

About Oviedo Land and Garden

Down in the Colorado River bottom below Smithville the soil runs deep and the pecans lean out over the water, and things planted there want to grow. Oviedo Land and Garden meets that willingness halfway: mowing and edging, yes, but also weeding beds, turning ground, mulching and keeping planted spaces open to light and air. Fall is the best of it, cooler mornings, leaves to gather, beds put in order before the first freeze. Land tended this way keeps its shape through winter and comes back easier in spring. That long view is what the work is for.
