Team Barba (Lands)

About Team Barba (Lands)

Summer afternoons north of Houston build their own weather: blue sky at noon, a wall of cloud by three, rain hammering the pines by four. Team Barba (Lands) works the morning side of that clock in Shenandoah — mowing, string trimming, edging and carrying off the clippings before the storm gets a vote. Storms leave their mark too, so downed limbs and pine litter get gathered up and the beds are put back in order once the ground dries out. The reward is a lawn with even lines and a hard-cut border that reads clean all the way from the street. Doing it in that heat is simply the job; getting it right is the part worth talking about afterward.
